Website/Software Focus: Food Force

Food Force

I've only just downloaded this software today and had a quick play but it certainly looks interesting.

Food Force is an educational video game teaching users about hunger and humanitarium aid in third world countries.

In this game you play a number of missions including air reconnaisance, air drops, food & nutritional formulation and others.

To date there have been over 4 million players and there are huge world wide competitions to see who can get the highest scores, with prizes to win and so on.

I'll post up more when I've had a chance to have a proper play....

In the mean time, check out the links below-

OK, I've downloaded and played this game for the first time tonight- final score of 46,565,170.

Not bad I reckon for my first attempt!

Verdict on the game? I reckon it's pretty damn good! It features 6 missions, all with different tasks to complete such as driving supply trucks, performing air drops from planes, feeding towns, researching food and so on. For the experienced and older gamer, there's not a lot of challenge.

But the reality is that this game was designed for younger players.

It's definitely educational as it provides real life snippets of video, etc based on the type of mission you've just undertaken and explains the real life crisis that many face.

Well worth the download and this game should definitely feature in school curriculums....
